The Kedar Tal Trek is one of the most adventurous high-altitude treks in the Garhwal Himalayas. At an altitude of 15,583 ft, Kedar Tal (meaning Lake of Lord Shiva) lies beneath the towering Thalay Sagar (6,904 m) and Brigupanth peaks, making it one of the most stunning glacial lakes in India.
This trek starts from Gangotri (10,200 ft) and takes you through rugged trails, rocky moraines, and alpine meadows. Unlike meadow treks, Kedar Tal is raw, wild, and challenging — a perfect choice for experienced trekkers looking for both adventure and Himalayan serenity.

Reach Gangotri, the sacred town at the source of the River Ganga. This is where your trek begins. After hotel/homestay check-in, visit the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga.

Day 2:
Gangotri to Bhojkharak
