The best time to undertake this trek is from May to October, with summer temperatures ranging from 5°C to 15°C.

  • Day 1: Dehradun to Uttarkashi

  • Drive 145 km (5-6 hours) to Uttarkashi, situated at an altitude of 1,198 meters. Overnight stay in a hotel.

  • Day 2: Uttarkashi to Sangam Chatti; Trek to Manjhi

  • Drive 13 km to Sangam Chatti (2,400 m). Begin the trek passing through Agora and Bhebra villages to reach Manjhi (2,942 m). Overnight in tents.

  • Day 3: Manjhi to Dodital

  • Trek 6 km (2.5 hours) to Dodital (3,040 m), a serene lake considered the birthplace of Lord Ganesha. Explore the temple and surroundings. Camp overnight.

  • Day 4: Dodital to Bingad via Darwa Top

  • Trek 12 km (5-6 hours) ascending to Darwa Top (4,150 m) for panoramic views of peaks like Swargarohini and Bandarpunch. Descend to Bingad for an overnight stay in tents.

  • Day 5: Bingad to Deodamini via Kanatal

  • Trek 12 km (5-6 hours) through alpine meadows to reach Deodamini, a high-altitude meadow near Bandarpunch. Return to Kanatal for camping.

  • Ascend to Bamsaru Khal (4,600 m) for stunning views of the Gangotri group of peaks. Descend carefully to Bamsaru Base and camp overnight.

  • Trek through diverse landscapes to reach Songad, passing Chupkatidhar (2,832 m). Overnight in tents.

  • Trek to Sukki, then drive to Harsil, a picturesque village. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.
